You are going to learn about Pygmy Goats!!!!! (Don't get too excited)

Here are some facts about these "cool" creatures:

*Although Pygmy Goats are small in stature, they produce very large amount of milk for their size.

*This small breed can be eaten like but is not typically used for meat production.

*Pygmy goats are kept as pets in urban or suburban backyards where livestock ownership is allowed.

*They can adapt well virtually to all climates.

*Males are about 23 inches tall and the females are about 16 inches tall. The weight of the females ranges from 50 to 75 pounds and the males weigh 60 to 85 pounds.

*Pygmy Goats multiply very fast. It bears up to 4 young every 9-12 months after a 5 month gestation period.

*The average lifespan of a Pygmy Goat is 10-15 years.

*Pygmy goats are a goat species, not a breed.

*Pygmy goats eat green grass, plants, and grains and only drink fresh water. They will refuse to drink any other liquid.

*Pygmy Goats are unique among other animals. They have thurls and dewclaws.
